Dream-Life

“Yet another disappointing day for the police. The popular M.P who was to be taken for interrogation by the police, was getting discharged from hospital today. But after seeing police van outside the hospital he fell ill again and got himself admitted again. Which means that the police has to wait for few more days to interrogate him”, Roared the mobile radio.

Aman woke up by that roar. He was in the middle of the tragic dream. It was a dim lit room.
He tried recollecting the dream.

All he could recollect was the Crying face of Naina and the slap he got from her father. He did not know what went wrong. He tried to think what might have gone wrong.

He thought again, this time he remembered a bit more.He was getting dumped by Naina and he was forcing her to give him a good reason for leaving him.

She was in all tears. That was the time when her dad came and slapped him. He saw her dad holding her tight and walked her back inside the house. He tried to calm himself down; after all it was just a dream. His mind wandered through the memories of him and naina meeting at the park every day.

He smiled or just felt like smiling. He wanted to relax down with those memories. Few minutes passed by.

He woke up again. This time the dream woke him up, a happy dream. It was the Dream in which he got graduated.

As his mind started processing more about the dream, he heard the door open and his mom came in with afternoon food. She planted the kiss on his forehead.

Though he hated the type of food she brought in, He dint say anything because he thought it was full of mother’s love. His mom asked him to sleep. He smiled at mom; a full smile which he knew would certainly make her happy.

He closed his eyes. He tried to know when was the last time he had really slept. He knew the answer himself; its been weeks. He had always closed his eyes pretending to be asleep. He knew two things very well. He was suffering from cancer and he was afraid to sleep.

He was afraid that the dreams may end some day. He wanted all his wishes to come to him as a dream. But he was afraid of dreaming. He never wanted to sleep. He closed his eyes, tighter and continued his journey towards planning his next dream.

Rain Gives You Pain

Aman Got the first flight, after hearing the most shocking news.

Aman Knew krish for more than 20 years. He never knew krish to be some one who would commit suicide.

But It happened last evening. Aman was not able to sleep the whole night he wanted to be there with krish's parents.

He got down rushed through not so busy roads to see his friend for the very last time. Cries and vail made him shiver. Some drilling pain ran through his body. He stood there seeing krish's body,Fighting back his tears And it started raining.

----------------------------------------------------------

Raj dint try stopping naina from going out of the house. He dint try explaining his situation to her.

They have been together for the last six years. Naina thought raj was her life, her everything.

But when she came to know raj is planing to move away her she wanted to cry, she wanted to scream, she wanted to blast him off.

But she dint do anything, She sat back fighting her tears, she started packing her things and carefully wrote a letter and left it in the table so that Raj Was able to see it.

While raj finished reading the letter, She saw him for the last time and walked out.

Her brain was fighting to answer all the questions that rose in her mind. She wanted some one badly. She saw the empty road wiping off her tears. And it started raining.

Rain Gives you love

It was dry summer,a really dry summer. It was announced that Monsoon was expected any time in near future.

Naina sat looking at her system,it was her last few minutes of the day at office. She thought she needed some coffee. Poured herself some coffee and sipped it looking out through the window.

She has not had the best of the days. She thought that she was so confused about her life, about her love.
Every time she tried to concentrate on her job she got reminded of her close friends Aman and Krish. She looked again at the window.

She has to chose one from the two. Both of them were madly in love with her and both of them did enough to impress her.

She looked at her watch,it was time to go. She took out her mobile and brought it back to life by switching it on. She said bye to her friends and started walking out. She was woken up from her thoughts when her mobile phone beeped.

"Stay safe - gonna rain.Luv U"- Aman

She saw that text. She dint reply. She read the text again. She put the mobile phone back down in her purse.

She looked at the sky and she looked at the gate. She knew what she wanted. She smiled.

Krish was standing there outside her office gate Waving at her. His other hand was holding an umbrella.

One fine rainy day

I always used to wonder what happens to broadband during the last four days of the month. The speed will get decreased,Most of the time it wont get connected. Last month end i had the same problem,Actually four lights blinking in my modem will say internet connected and that time only 3 lights were blinking(I used to wonder am i a comp.sci student??I dont know the ways to solve so many problems even in my P.C)I called the concerned officer, the first question he asked me was, How many lights blinking sir? i told the same old story. 3 only blinking its been like this for a while blah.. blah.. He askd me to follow some steps, He said like i dunno anything about the computer(Every compsci student will get angry if he is treated like this). He then said try connecting now. I connected the internet and it got connected the Webpage of Google appeared in no time. I bent down to check how many lights are blinking. That time no light was proper. Then it got settled to three lights, I checked browsing again,It was working. I called the officer to tel him that internet got connected and i added that only 3 lights are blinking, He replied, "Sir why are you asking that sir? Internet working sir. What else you need. I said that light might not have gone fuse because once i restart my modem its blinking. he got tensed. Sir internet working sir. Why asking unnecessary questions sir?. I Said to my self, "Nirmal sir internet is working sir!shut up and browse sir!". I wrote the JTO exam and i dint get selected. In a way i am feeling good. Else some one else will be writing this post in his or her blog about me.

Ps: I remember one of my friends saying this. He was preparing hard for his placements(Hr interviews and all that). He was very frustrated that internet is not working and called the customer service number, A guy had picked up and had asked "Sir tel me your name". My friend amidst all the chaos started saying what he had prepared for his "Tel me about yourself question"(I am a confident and energetic person, I like to work as a team i am self motivated.lol)

Time Travel in train travel

Friday, November 6, 2009

Though its been more than 4 years since i came to chennai for my college life,I havent travelled much by train.Only for t.nagar or srm or chennai central i was travelling by train. may be once or twice i would have gone to beach by train. But in for the last four months i am using train daily for my classes.Inspite of my dad's strong advice to take the first class pass, i took the second class pass to get the first hand feeling of what all this about. yeah This is something i felt every person should get at his or her life time. You can see so many different types of people, you can hear so many thoughts, sometimes so many different languages too. But some people attract your attention a lot.
There are certain people who will know to say only this "Yerangi yeru! yerangi yeru!"(Climb down and climb up). You can hear these people before the train's stop at each and every station. Some times you can even hear them saying when the train stopped half way between the station for signal. Crazy beggers!!!
There are certain people who will say "Ulla po ulla po"(go inside go inside). Once they get into the train they will start saying this. They will stop only when they realise that if the other people move a bit more, they will fall through the other opening in the train. If the people i mentioned before are crazy beggers, latter people are funny beggers!!!.
You can also see a gang of people coming together from a single station occupying the last seats of every compartment. one will start cracking the joke and the other will continue(If first one was a gud joke, second will be ok. third will be bad and it continues) For all these only they can laugh. They wont stop with jokes one will start singing making all of us feel that the "jokes were better".
Why these people attracted me? These are no ordinary people. They are the part of the journey. May be i can say funniest part.

Monday, July 6, 2009

Charles(Hugh grant) meets the attractive Carrie(Andie MacDowell) in the first wedding, they spend the night together and in the morning she leaves him with out second thought. Again the Charles meets her in the second wedding with her fiancée. This time also they spend the night together and he leaves her before she wakes up. A month later he gets Carrie’s Wedding invitation and realizes that he is in love with her. He explains it to her beautifully that if anything goes wrong he’ll be there. Now Carrie’s Wedding takes place and one of charles’s closest friend collapses and dies. Now his funeral and in that Charles begins to think that he should get into a relationship. Did he marry? Whom did he marry? Forms the rest of the story. “Dialogues stand out and so does the song which extends through out the movie”. I recommend this Movie for Weekend

I cant resist keeping the review within 100 words. So this is 150 word review.

Fast times at Ridgemont High (1982)

This movie is a about a bunch of teens guys and girls attending Ridgemont high school and working in theatres, pizza corners and shops for their pocket money. They enjoy sex rock n roll and malls. And at the end of their senior year each one realizes something what they need and achieves something towards it. It’s an example of the teen movies of early 80’s. Watch it if you really have to. And I think this movie is much hyped about being hilarious while it’s not so humorous but has some fun elements which all the teen comedies have.

The way Home (2002 – Korean)

An unemployed mother leaves her kid in her mother’s house in an underdeveloped village. The plot of the movie fully revolves around the grandmother and the boy. The boy who gets annoyed by his grandma begins to realize how much she loves him and much more in his short stay at her place. At some point of time the kid says “if you are sick send me a blank mail, Ill understand”. And I should say a very selective casting makes this movie a biggie. The movie ends with the note “dedication to all grandmothers”. Indian Remake of this possible??

Angels and Demons

Much expected, as the Book is a bestseller. Ron Howard delivers his best. Robert Langdon is smarter than before with a smarter partner Victoria vetra. Tom Hanks proves in every scene. Ambigrams, Method of electing pope, the thrill of finding where will be the next killing makes it nearly an edge of the seat thriller. But the movie sags a little towards the middle. Beauty of Vatican and Rome and the way they have been captured make this movie enter into the list of “see at least once” category. Anti-matter can be a truth in near future. Who knows?

Aegan – Not upto the mark.

I have always wanted to see this movie merely bcoz its adaptation of “Main Hoon Na”. Ajith plays his part well even in comedy scenes. The plot, not up to the mark. Intro scene could have been better. And Ajith is under utilized definitely. Sushmita sen was sensuous in the original. Nayantara was artificial. She is just used for skin show and nothing else really. Audiences are really bored of her half way through the movie. As a choreographer Raj Sundaram stands out. Thanks to him that we see Ajith dancing after a long time.

Sunset Blvd (1950)

Mini plot: Headlines "A small time writer got Murdered". He was found dead in the pool of the yestyear actress "Norma desmond".All wants to know what really happened.

Plot : This is a story which was happening
at the back drop of Hollywood in 1950's.It was the time where silent movies were long forgotten so do their hero's and heroin's. Aging, long forgotten actress of silent movies, "Norma Desmond" lives with her servant(though we find out on due course that he is not just a servant, he was her first husband he was the one who is sending her fan letters and he was the one who directed her to fame in her years.. Back to the plot..ahem.. )and she is desperately looking for a come back into the movies. A small time writer finds himself followed by the men who were after his car for the non-repayment of his lone. He finds shelter in Norma's place and she falls in love with him and attempts suicide as he dint accept her. At this stage, The writer falls in love with an young girl in reader's dept of paramount pictures. What follows next forms the rest of the story.

MY thoughts : This movie was released even before my dad was born. But the camera is fresh. The screenplay at its best. Even it can be remade in any language at any time after all which of the long forgotten heroins dont want a comeback.

Verdict : 7/10. See if you are the lover of cinema and if you are the one who encourages the same.

see you.

SAVE THE LAST DANCE

{cast : Julia Stiles, sean patrick thomas, kerry washington }

Plot: Sara moves to live with her dad after the death of her mom. That was the neighbourhood of black people. There she get to know derick who teaches her hip-hop /steps. Derek comes to know about sara's passion of becoming professional ballerina and she has given up balle as she thought it was her fault her mom died. Derek makes sara re-live her dream and she gets recruited by the best balle school.

My Thoughts: I had seen step up series and few other dance movies. I saw this movie was on the list of must see dance movies. Ya, It has dance,it has a bit of sentiment, romance and all that . But it dint impress me as step up did. I mean dance wise. After seeing this movie, I read the review of save the dance 2(OMG!! It said dont watch it,if you liked STLD 1).So planning not to take a risk now.

Verdict : 5/10. If you are a balle fan and if you wanna catch up with simple and easy steps in hip-hop. GO for it. This movie teaches you "how to sit the hip-hoppy way".

See you

King of pop- MIcheal Jackson is No more.

Friday, June 26, 2009

His legacy will Live on. ....

Los Angeles, June 25: It’s a sad day for music lovers as Michael Jackson, the sensationally gifted child star who rose to become the ‘King of Pop’ and the biggest celebrity in the world only to fall from his throne in a freakish series of scandals, died Thursday. He was 50.

A music genius, who got the world grooving to his signature style and heart thumping numbers, Jackson died at UCLA Medical Center after being stricken at his rented home in Holmby Hills. Paramedics tried to resuscitate him at his home for nearly three-quarters of an hour, then rushed him to the hospital, where doctors continued to work on him.

"It is believed he suffered cardiac arrest in his home. However, the cause of his death is unknown until results of the autopsy are known," his brother Jermaine said. Police said they were investigating, standard procedure in high-profile cases.

Jackson's death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular music's premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled even more on stage.

Masilamani - Full of dust.

One of the following should be true about the Director

1)Director should be a vijay fan.
2) He should have seen vijay movies lately so as to present the audiences with a mass entertainer.

In recent times Vijay's own formula is not at all paying him handful. So, as a matter of fact i think the director relies hugely on the production company "sun pictures" than his own story.Everyone who has been a follower of tamil movies will realise in no time that how much "Masilamani" is influenced from "Thulladhamanamum thullum","pudhiya gheethai",and other vijay sentiments ( like hero being friendly with a Girl child. We would have seen the same sentiments in sachin,ATM etc..)To say the truth, i went for the movie for heroin alone, but i felt disappointed. Sunaina has been potrayed as a dance school student/teacher. I dont think she did enough justice to the character she plays. In case of Nakul there are no surprises,He once again proves that he is a directors hero. But this time the story lets him down heavily.MS baskar, santhanam CHips in now and then only to remind us that we are sleeping inside the theatre. I wish production houses like sun pictures encourage the art of cinema ,than just making mass entertainers for the sake of making money.

My advice is to thrash it and wait for the movie to be released on your tv channels.
4/10

See you with another movie

Dilli-6 Music review

RIght mix of music from A.R for the right person Mehra for this movie Dilli-6. I personally think that the music of this movie is much better when compared to "Slumdog millionaire". I am one of the indians who always wanted an indian to be there in oscars. And our A.R did it this time. But to me, he has given his best in so many movies like guru, jodha akbar, rang de basanti,.. etc. But this kind of music is totally new to hollywood and they hav applauded it in their own way. Kudos to Rahman. Coming to dilli-6.. IMHO A.r and mehra wanted each and every song to be much much better from the other. And they excel very well. Most of the songs has heavy hindhusthani base, and another classic album from A.R..
My personal fav songs are: dilli-6, hey kala kala bandar, masakkali, arziyan..

American Beauty Review

Toughest subject to take up. Kudos to director who took up and the movie has 5 oscars to its credit. A deep, wonderful, penetrating film; extraordinary irony in a psychological drama about the American life

Plot: An Obsessed father not having a healthy relationship with mother falls in lust when he sees his daughter's friend who just finds it fun to tease him. Even more obsessed mother going head over heals for the other guy who is a leading figure in her field of business. And the daughter who is highly secretive and falls for a guy who shoots her in cam most often.

Beautifully depicted movie about highly disfigured family ends up with a big loss.

i am giving 3.4/5. Watch it after reading full reviews in other sites like imdb.com
