Dream-Life

Sunday, November 8, 2009

“Yet another disappointing day for the police. The popular M.P who was to be taken for interrogation by the police, was getting discharged from hospital today. But after seeing police van outside the hospital he fell ill again and got himself admitted again. Which means that the police has to wait for few more days to interrogate him”, Roared the mobile radio.

Aman woke up by that roar. He was in the middle of the tragic dream. It was a dim lit room.
He tried recollecting the dream.

All he could recollect was the Crying face of Naina and the slap he got from her father. He did not know what went wrong. He tried to think what might have gone wrong.

He thought again, this time he remembered a bit more.He was getting dumped by Naina and he was forcing her to give him a good reason for leaving him.

She was in all tears. That was the time when her dad came and slapped him. He saw her dad holding her tight and walked her back inside the house. He tried to calm himself down; after all it was just a dream. His mind wandered through the memories of him and naina meeting at the park every day.

He smiled or just felt like smiling. He wanted to relax down with those memories. Few minutes passed by.

He woke up again. This time the dream woke him up, a happy dream. It was the Dream in which he got graduated.

As his mind started processing more about the dream, he heard the door open and his mom came in with afternoon food. She planted the kiss on his forehead.

Though he hated the type of food she brought in, He dint say anything because he thought it was full of mother’s love. His mom asked him to sleep. He smiled at mom; a full smile which he knew would certainly make her happy.

He closed his eyes. He tried to know when was the last time he had really slept. He knew the answer himself; its been weeks. He had always closed his eyes pretending to be asleep. He knew two things very well. He was suffering from cancer and he was afraid to sleep.

He was afraid that the dreams may end some day. He wanted all his wishes to come to him as a dream. But he was afraid of dreaming. He never wanted to sleep. He closed his eyes, tighter and continued his journey towards planning his next dream.

Rain Gives you love

It was dry summer,a really dry summer. It was announced that Monsoon was expected any time in near future.

Naina sat looking at her system,it was her last few minutes of the day at office. She thought she needed some coffee. Poured herself some coffee and sipped it looking out through the window.

She has not had the best of the days. She thought that she was so confused about her life, about her love.
Every time she tried to concentrate on her job she got reminded of her close friends Aman and Krish. She looked again at the window.

She has to chose one from the two. Both of them were madly in love with her and both of them did enough to impress her.

She looked at her watch,it was time to go. She took out her mobile and brought it back to life by switching it on. She said bye to her friends and started walking out. She was woken up from her thoughts when her mobile phone beeped.

"Stay safe - gonna rain.Luv U"- Aman

She saw that text. She dint reply. She read the text again. She put the mobile phone back down in her purse.

She looked at the sky and she looked at the gate. She knew what she wanted. She smiled.

Krish was standing there outside her office gate Waving at her. His other hand was holding an umbrella.

Tell the people you love and care-Be4 its too late

One day Maths teacher asked her students to list the names of the other students in the room on two sheets of paper, leaving a space between each name. Then she told them to think of the nicest thing they could say about each of their classmates and write it down.

It took the remainder of the class period to finish their assignment, and as the students left the room, each one handed in the papers. That Saturday, the teacher wrote down the name of each student on a separate sheet of paper, and listed what everyone else had said about that individual. On Monday she gave each student his or her list. Before long, the entire class was smiling. 'Really?' she heard whispered. 'I never knew that I meant anything to anyone!' and, 'I didn't know others liked me so much,' were most of the comments.
No one ever mentioned those papers in class again. She never knew if they discussed them after class or with their parents, but it didn't matter. The exercise had accomplished its purpose. The students were happy with themselves and one another. That group of students moved on.
Several years later, one of the students was killed in 'Kargil' war and his teacher attended the funeral of that special student. She had never attended Funeral of a serviceman before. He looked so handsome, so mature. The place was packed with his friends. One by one those who loved him took a last walk. The teacher was the last one to bless .
As she stood there, one of the soldiers who acted as pallbearer came up to her. 'Were you Sanjay's math teacher?' he asked. She nodded: 'yes.' Then he said: 'Sanjay talked about you a lot.' After the funeral, most of Sanjay's former classmates were there. Sanjay's mother and father were there, obviously waiting to speak with his teacher. 'We want to show you something,' his father said, taking a wallet out of his pocket 'They found this on Sanjay when he was killed. We thought you might recognize it.' Opening the billfold, he carefully removed two worn pieces of notebook paper that had obviously been taped, folded and refolded many times.
The teacher knew without looking that the papers were the ones on which she had listed all the good things each of Sanjay's classmates had said about him. 'Thank you so much for doing that,' Sanjay's mother said. 'As you can see, Sanjay treasured it.' All of Sanjay's former classmates started to gather around. Arjun smiled rather sheepishly and said, 'I still have my list. It's in the top drawer of my desk at home.' Prithwiraj's wife said, ' Prithwiraj asked me to put his in our wedding album.' 'I have mine too,' Rashmi said. 'It's in my diary'
Then Deepali, another classmate, reached into her pocketbook, took out her wallet and showed her worn and frazzled list to the group. 'I carry this with me at all times,' Deepali said and without batting an eyelash, she continued: 'I think we all saved our lists'
That's when the teacher finally sat down and cried. She cried for Sanjay and for all his friends who would never see him again. The density of people in society is so thick that we forget that life will end one day. And we don't know when that one day will be. So please, tell the people you love and care for, that they are special and important. Tell them, before it is too late.

Test Squad

Tuesday, February 12, 2008

"Final set of players for the series against Australia will be announced shortly", Flashed in a famous news channel.Aman kept switching between the channels. His name is already in the list of 25 probable players to be picked in the team.

Aman really had a fine season. He had given an all round performance with both the bat and the ball and he is sure about getting into the team this year.Doorbell rang. Aman knew who it was. He opened the door and was really surprised to see his wife smiling at him.

Naina is a s/w programmer. They are married for two years and Aman had never seen Naina happy when she comes back home from office.

“Team list not yet out right?” asking this she entered in.

Aman kissed Naina in the cheek as she settled down in the couch, in a position to watch T.V

"How about having some coffee?” Aman asked.

"Sure dear, a hot one”, came the reply as she followed every inch of the news. Aman sat near her with the coffee. Naina moved a bit and rested herself on his shoulders; she badly needed to discuss her day with Aman and was waiting for the right time.

The wait to get to play for the team is not yet over Aman thought when he read the news flash. "The committee decided to release the players list after two days ".

Naina switched the TV off and looked at Aman. Aman can very well guess from her actions that she is waiting to speak with him. He smiled and said, "what’s so special today gorgeous?”

Naina thought about that again.

That morning Naina had a conversation with her project manager.

"This is a great opportunity for u Mrs. Aman, I don’t think you’ll let it go for any reason", said her proj manager.

"Yes sir, I am surprised and happy to hear such an important foreign assignment is given to me but I have to think over it before taking a decision", finished Naina as her mind already started thinking how to tell this is Aman.

"Ok. Mrs. Aman u carry on with your work and I am giving u a day to decide".

Aman was hearing everything Naina was saying and thought for some time and said, "It’s your future Naina and I can promise u that I’ll be with your decision".

Naina knew how much Aman loved her and the thought of leaving him and going prevented her from taking a decision. She has to make a decision for her future. She decided to go with it and without much thought Aman accepted her decision.

Naina came to know that she got to start the very next day, company arranged for her flight. Naina wanted Aman to be at home as the time of the flight and the time for the announcement of the team clashed. Aman kissed her goodbye and positioned himself before the TV.

The news reader reported the list for one day series, Aman searched for his name.

Robin shukla…

Ramesh …

Yadhav…

His name was not there. Reporter said the test team will be announced in an hour. Still Aman had a chance. His name might be there in test squad.

He wished for Naina to be there with him. “What if the name is not included for test team? This shouldn’t happen”. Aman thought.

He had played well for the last four years. Due to some reason or the other he couldn’t get into the team. This time he was so sure of getting a place.

He started worrying a lot, forgot to call Naina as he had promised. An hour passed...

He was seeing a news channel, which read two news flashes…His eyes dropped to see both the flashes at the same time.

First one said he is included for the test team squad. His hard work paid at last.

Second flash read,”Flight for US crashed due to technical failures, No survivors”. .

Aman was devastated to see this. He was in a state of panic, Not at all knowing what to do.

What is he going to take? First… or the second one…

Note: This is my first story. So u cant scold me if u dint like it.

"Wake up Aman!! Get up get up; U got to go to your dad's office in time!! Remember??” said mama in an alarming tone.

Aman had just returned home after his studies abroad. Aman, doing Masters abroad, was his dad's dream. Aman was proud that he took as his own dream and completed his masters.

"Mama, it’s been days since I had such a nice sleep! Please mama. Few more minutes"

He loved being at home and he always knew nothing can be compared with this.

"Aman, go brush and get ready for your favorite coffee", his mom commanded from the kitchen.

Unwillingly Aman got up and walked to bathroom. He searched for the usual mirror. “Mama Where is the mirror?”

"Remember the day of your last home coming?? I don’t want your maddy style spoil the day my son".

Aman could very well remember that incident, day of his last home coming. He was inside the bathroom after taking hair bath and was drying his hair. He saw in the mirror that on his every move his hair jumped, this reminded him of the ad (all clear ad I think! not sure. Madhavan will b shaking his head and say “All clear! NO dandruff!!") Aman tried his part as that actor. God! Some sound in the neck, he couldn’t turn his head and he cried for help. Mama examined Aman and fixed an appointment with the doctor. Doctor asked Aman to take rest for three days, which spoiled all his hang outs.

Aman saw the hot, flavored coffee ready on the table. With coffee in one hand and the newspaper in the other, he searched for a good place to settle down and enjoy.

Sipping his coffee, he glanced at the wall clock, it’s already 8.30. His dad wanted him, at his office by 10. Aman thought “I should be ready to start out by 9.20”.

Picked his phone, Dialed the no, it showed "calling Naina".

"Naina, I will be at hotel by 9.40 to pick u up”.

"Aman, why saying now? Its would have been better if u had said at 9.40 she said sarcastically … (“what is this guy thinking? Is that so easy for a gal to get ready? That too he asked me to dress up traditionally!” Naina said in very low voice so that Aman could not hear. )

"U want be Mrs. Naina Aman right? Get ready my gal”

"Hmm. Yes Aman. Love u. See u in a while”

They both hung up. Aman got ready in time and got into his dad's “i10”.

"Nice car", he thought. He had time, dint want to drive fast either. His thought drifted towards Naina. Naina, gal from an Indian family settled in the same place where he did his Masters.

2 yrs back, he met her in a coffee shop, she crossed his table. She wore a light color top and a branded jean and took a table very near him. Sipping his coffee, Aman had a good look at her. Mobile rang, frantically searched his pocket for his mobile. He couldn’t find it. He tried to get up to check his packets again. Coffee poured over him, table moved away.

He was fully in a confused state. Aman took out his phone.

The Ring stopped and he heard the other guy near him speaking in the phone. The Gal was watching all this. She burst out laughing. Aman never thought he will end up in such a mess and badly needed to get out of this place.

Aman hurried out of the restaurant. Gal's voice followed." Hello!! Excuse me! "

Aman stopped to answer the call. The gal came near him and said, “Sorry! I never wanted to make fun out of u! It just happened and I should not a have laughed. "

Aman was really surprised and excited to hear this. He said, “Its ok. It always happens with me”

The gal introduced herself as Naina Catherine Kapoor. Both were happy to know that they belonged to the same country and this led them to a brief conversation. They exchanged numbers and promised to keep in touch.

On his way home Aman took a cab. As soon as he entered his house he thought of calling up Naina, He searched for the piece of paper, that had her no.

Jesus!! Aman could not find where he wrote the number, he couldn’t take the fact that he lost her. He reassured himself saying Naina will call him up soon.

A month passed. He dint receive any call from Naina. When ever he took his coffee or while crossing the same restaurant he was reminded of her.

It was a long day for him and he was returning back home. He received a message from unknown number, and it read,

"Remember me? This is Naina. I need to talk to you".

He called her and asked where she was and promised to be there in few minutes. She was there in the same restaurant; her face showed that she had cried a lot. She tried to smile after seeing him.

Naina started the conversation, "Aman sorry to disturb u, I am in deep trouble and I can’t go asking help to anyone else. My father knows all Indians here and I know u r an exception ".

Aman decided this is a chance god has given him and he decided to help her in ever way he can.

After a few minutes of silence she started again,

"Aman, it happened today morning". Words battled out with a weeping sound.

"While driving this morning, I was having a deep thought and I never really noticed the red signal, before I could slow down or stop my car, a child came running to cross the road and the car hit the child"

She started crying again. Aman touched her hands with his and asked her to continue.

"Child fainted down and I took him to the hospital nearby and literally ran away from the hospital"

"I don’t know what to do now. Please help me, Aman".

Aman asked her to trust him and added, “Leave this matter to me and go home, I’ll take care of everything “. He took her in his car and dropped her home.

Now, He decided to go to the hospital to know the child's condition. only then will he be able to think of what to do next. As Soon as he reached the hospital, he enquired the receptionist; she said the boy was not hurt and that it was only the sudden shock that made him faint.

Aman wanted to check it himself. He went to the boy's room. The boy's parents were there. Aman was really worried about what they will tell when they come to know about the accident. But the boy's parents were really kind and asked him to thank the gal who admitted their son in the hospital.

Aman called Naina to tell her everything. He never wanted her to cry. Naina was so relieved to hear and she badly needed to thank Aman. So they decided to have a meet during the weekend.

Weekend came, they both met, Aman cracked every joke he could to make her laugh. And the time was up and they had to part.

Naina said, “Aman! I have never been this much happy in my life and thanks for the beautiful evening". This second Aman wanted her badly.

Aman said,"I want u to be happy always Naina, and it can be possible only if u become Mrs. Naina Aman” and added that he would wait for her reply.

They got back to the car, Aman drove it in silence and soon they were near Naina's place. Naina got down with out saying a word. Aman also wanted to give her some time to decide.

Naina couldn’t sleep that night; neither could she make a decision. She wanted to know about him fully.

She switched on the T.V.

Some news channel read a flash," Fatal bombings in North street".

Naina broke as she read the news that was the place were Aman was residing, she was in the state of panic and tried calling Aman's mobile.

No answer.

She tried his number again, this time the call was attended. "Aman", she said.

"Hi. Naina! What happened? "

After hearing his voice she literally broke into tears, she never wanted him to know that she was crying. She hung up the phone saying that she will call him back in some time.

Now, she realized how much she loved him. Next day she badly wanted to see him and tell him how much he meant to her.

Aman, still driving the busy road, thought- it started like this in a coffee shop, we ended up in love and I am going to pick her up in another ten minutes.

As his studies got over, he asked Naina to come with him, so that he can say about their love to dad.

Mom already knows...

He had already rehearsed how to say this matter to dad. He never thought about how his dad will react. So Aman decided office will be a better place. Along with Naina, he reached the office in time.

Aman went straight to his dad's room and knocked the door. His dad opened it and was happy to see his son, and his smile shrunk a little as his eye fell on the gal. He greeted them inside and asked them to have a seat.

Aman started the conversation, “dad! This is Naina. And I have to tell u something dad! "

His dad asked " How long u been in love? Married? "

Aman never expected his dad to take things like this “yes dad, I am in love, not yet married, will marry only with your blessings dad"

His dad dint say anything, He just told him to be at conference hall in ten minutes and walked away.

He held Naina's hand. It was already chill. He reassured her not to worry and they moved to the conference hall.

He entered the hall and could see his dad giving a speech amidst all gentlemen. His dad too saw Aman coming in.

His dad raised his cup and said “Here goes the toast for the future MD of this company and his love"

Aman and Naina were already in tears hearing his. Aman could hear congrats from everyone. He just wanted to run and hug his dad.

His father came near them, hugged them both and said," It’s all arranged my son!! U may not tell me everything my son, but your mom does!! And this is the secret of our long lasting life.

A boy and v day.

Friday, February 8, 2008

Note:Thanks for your comments on my last story. This is another story which i wrote last December.I am posting it as v day fast approaching.I dunno how many amongst us really value that day. Here is the story. It tells a kid's views on v day. Happy advance v day to all.

Rahul was so happy to see his uncle home. Aman was the only existing relation to Rahul. They both loved each other so much. Usually Rahul used to come soon from school and he would be waiting for his uncle to come. But today Aman was already home.

Rahul's excitement doubled when he saw his uncle in a new outfit. "Uncle, are we going out somewhere?” Rahul asked enthusiastically.

"Yes, you get ready. We are going to Anjali aunt’s house".

Anjali, Aman’s best Friend, his colleague. She was living very near his residence. Rahul was happy and asked," why uncle? We usually used to go to aunt’s house only during weekends, right?”

"Yes, my boy. You are right. Today I am going for my blind date and u going to be at Anjali’s house till I come back and pick u up". While saying this Aman could see the excitement fading away in Rahul's face.

"Why can’t I come with u for your blind date?” Rahul asked. Aman couldn’t hide his laughter. He told Rahul what a blind date really meant. As every boy of his age, Rahul had questions for each and every word Aman explained him.

Rahul asked, "What's so special about this day that is making you go out and have coffee with a gal whom u never knew?”.

Aman was astonished and tried to give him some answer. “See my boy. Today, Valentine’s Day and going for a blind date have become a custom these days for someone staying single ".

From the expression in Rahul's face, Aman knew Rahul understood nothing. He thanked god for this and told Rahul to ask Anjali aunty if he wanted to know something more.

Aman dropped Rahul at Anjali’s place, waved bye to both of them and started for his blind date.

Rahul wanted to know what that day really was about, he started asking Anjali too.

Anjali started explaining him about Valentine’s Day. She first explained him about the history of Valentine’s Day. Once she finished it, Rahul had a question, “so this day is only for lovers?"

Anjali never agreed with this, even she and Aman once had an argument over it. According to Anjali, v day is just another chance for everyone to show how they love their beloved.

She thought at least she could explain the significance of the v day to the small boy.

Anjali said," It’s not like that Rahul. It’s a day for friends; it’s a day for family members. It’s a day for parents to show how much they love their children".

"So aunty, is this the day of love? Why is it then uncle said he is going to have coffee with a gal she never knew? "

"It’s like getting acquainted with new people Rahul, But I don’t know when your uncle will stop this idiotic blind date and stuffs", Anjali added.

Few hours passed, Rahul was playing in the balcony when he noticed his uncle coming back. Anjali who was working in the hall saw Aman and his worried face; she couldn’t hide her laughter and asked sarcastically,"What my friend? Your date dint like your coffee I suppose".

"You just shut up Anjali", Aman cried, who seemed to have a bad date.

Rahul came running to Aman and asked him 50rs. As Aman was already vexed that day, he started scolding at Rahul. Anjali came forward to support the boy.

“Why are you scolding the boy? What will he do if u dint have a nice day" Anjali said.

Aman realized his mistake, called Rahul near him and hugged him. Rahul again asked Aman for 50rs. This time Aman dint say anything, he took out 50rs from his pocket and gave it to Rahul.

With out a minute’s hesitation, Rahul grabbed the 50rs and started running outside. Aman couldn’t understand what Rahul was doing.

Rahul came back home with three coffee cups and some chocolates and placed everything on the table. Aman still couldn’t understand what Rahul was doing, while Anjali knew, but she waited for the boy to speak.

"Anjali aunty said this v day is the day to show our love to our beloved” Rahul passed.

“I love you both”.

Rahul raised the cup and said,”Happy Valentine’s day”

Christmas gifts

Thursday, February 7, 2008

Note:This story i wrote last December. Some of my friends had already read it. As the visits for my blog has increased somewhat,I am posting it now. Leave your valuable comments.

Rahul, a kid in 5th standard was having his last day of school before his Christmas holidays. The class teacher addressed the class, "Boys, when you come to classes after holidays you should submit a report on how you spent your holidays".

The whole class sang in chorus, "ok! Miss”

The bell rang; Rahul and his friends started walking towards home. All his friends had plans about spending their Christmas, but Rahul had none. As usual Rahul went to the nearby ice-cream parlor where his dad usually comes to pick him up. After few minutes Rohan’s car stopped in front of the parlor. Rahul went and hugged his dad.

Rohan bought an ice-cream for Rahul and they both got into the car. As Rohan drove, he noticed an unexpected silence from Rahul.

"What Jr. Rohan? Why so silent today?" Rohan asked as he tickled his son.

"Dad, from tomorrow holiday" Rahul with a sad tone.

"Hey Rahul, what happened with you? Two days back you were so eager about the holidays and now saying like this."

"Yes dad! But yesterday only I knew about your tight schedule for the week. Who will play with me then? "

"Hey Jr. your bro is there, mom is there Dhadhi ma is there. You can play with them. And I promise you to spend the nights with you".

"Who bro? Funny dad. He always thinks playing with me is like playing with some 2yr old kid and case of mama and dhadhi is so worse, they themselves have no time to fight with each other".

Rohan couldn’t stop laughing as he heard his son's view about everyone at home. "Then, I have one idea Rahul, and if you are willing to do that job, you will get daily payment".

Rahul was really excited to hear this; if he accepted that job he could manage his expenses on his own till Christmas. "Ok! Dad, I accept. You say what is that I am supposed to do?"

"Nothing much, you have to keep your ears open. I mean you have to update me with all that’s happening in our house, Got it?"

Rahul was overjoyed because he knew he could very well finish the task given to him. Rohan dropped Rahul in the house and promised to be there with him in 24hrs.

Rahul went in and saw his bro watching TV and his mom and dhadhi as usual. DISHYOOM!! DISHYOOM!! He usually called it "war of worlds".

The day went on; Rahul carefully took notes in a small parchment which he was supposed to say to his dad and night. He stayed in the hall till light in the every room went off except one (His bro's). He noted it in his parchment and went straight to his dad's room.

"Hi Dad, You ready to hear from me?" Rahul asked as he went through his notes one more time.

"Ready my boy! First have this 100rs with you. First day’s payment", His dad said with a smile.

Rahul took the money and carefully kept it in his purse. And went on to say what all he saw that day.

“Starting with bro... He is also having his holidays. When no one was there in the hall he kept watching a kiss scene. He spent quite some time chatting online. Tomorrow you will be updated with the names, dad. "

His dad couldn’t stop laughing as his son read his notes. As Rahul saw his dad laugh he passed and continued as his dad asked him to go ahead.

"Mom- mom prayed for everyone in the morning and continued with her routine works. She is worrying that you are not spending enough time with the family"

"And dhadhi??"

"Dhadhi ma. She is always worrying for everyone, especially you dad. She is very much concerned about your health. She says to mom that because of her food only you are not healthy and that’s where the fight starts" Rahul finished.

Rohan praised Rahul and asked him to continue doing this till Christmas and Rahul assured him with a Smile.

The next day Rahul was there in his dad’s room to present his work and to get his reward. “Dad, Bro asked some 300rs to mom and she refused to give, nothing new other than this today and the day went as usual”.

Rohan hugged Rahul and rewarded him with another 100rs.

As Rahul came out of his dad’s room a hand clutched him and pulled him inside a dark room. As the lights turned on Rahul could see the reddish face of his bro. Rahul knew that his bro was steaming inside and he could even see the steam taking an escape route through his bro’s ears.

“How long you been spying on me?” His bro roared.

“Just two days brother, this is my job and I am doing it”, Rahul tried to act cool.

His bro knew he could not prevent Rahul from doing it. He tried to act wiser. He let out a bargain. “See here Rahul, I am agreeing to give you 25rs per day and you are supposed to tell dad only good things about me”.

Rahul never thought he could get such an offer, “Ok bro, I am agreeing with you, but 25rs is not fair. Make it 30rs”. Rahul smiled within himself and walked away. His Bro was dumbstruck.

That night Rahul was thinking of his new fortune and his mind glowed with a new idea. “Why can’t I make a same bargain with dhadhi and mama?” Rahul thought.

Next day he gave information to dad in his mom’s presence and the trick worked. She caught him and fell for his bargain.

But He couldn’t do so with dhadhi as she slept pretty early everyday.

The day before the Christmas he went to his dad’s room.

“Papa! Tomorrow Christmas Na, so I need a day’s off with half of my salary”.

Dad was totally surprised by Rahul’s behavior but gave him what he wanted. Rahul thanked his papa and went inside his room and locked up. He counted his new earnings and his old savings. It rounded up to 1050rs. Rahul wanted to buy gifts for all four of his family members for this Christmas.

He took out his calculator to divide his money into equal shares. It came out as 250rs for each and he still had 50rs with him. He went out to get the gifts.

That was the night of Christmas and Rahul wrapped all his gifts carefully and wrote a note in a long parchment. He kept all his gifts and the note in the dining table and left the place.

Rohan was the first to get up that day and as soon as he entered the dining table his eyes fell on the huge package of gifts. Rohan read the label of the package, “For dad, mom, bro and sweet dhadhi, who ever sees first wait till all four of you are awake”.

Rohan couldn’t wait as he was so excited about the gifts. He went straightway and woke his elder son, his mom and his wife. They altogether opened the big package and saw four small packages each labeled with a note.

Rohan decided to open everything on his own as others dint protest. First he opened the gift labeled “Dhadhi”; it had a walkman with a bhajan cassette. Rohan could see the happiness in his mother’s face.
